Sending off their dead by letting the water carry the body (on a balsa) away is an old practice in the philippines, at least in the some seaside communities (Pre-Hispanic Mindanao, I think). I don't know, however, if they do it in riverside communities.

Yes, asrai. Mulagat is a very noble character. I always liked him. :)

As for Baus' question:
"Diba si Paloma, tinakluban nung nilibing? Si Mulagat's body was sent back to Encantadia, without any shroud... Just like Alwina before..."

They did not cover him because they were going to return him to Encantadia where his mother was waiting. It would've been wrong to wrap him up before she could see him a final time. Besides, he was already wearing white. Pang-libing, di ba?

And speaking of funerals. Why do they put their dead on a raft in the Mulawin world? The sanitary thing to do woul be to bury them, not push them afloat on the water on a piece of wood. Um, do they intend for the bodies to be exposed to the elements then? Is this a custom among some native Filipinos then?

All good comments.

"you mentioned dati na may isa pang mulawin na pupunta sa encantadia na irerevive, since si Dakila nirevive ni Linang, sya yung mulawin na iyon? paki clear lang po, thank you!"

No, I don't think Linang said another would be revived. She only said another Mulawin would visit Encantadia. Could that be Habagat?

The only Mulawin to return from the dead, according to the oracle, would be the Savior or Angel of the Mulawin.

i think it would be better for Mulagat to be dead, it would make Mulawin nakakaiba to other soaps. paganda ng paganda ang story and nakakaintriga ang identity ni Gabriel.

you mentioned dati na may isa pang mulawin na pupunta sa encantadia na irerevive, since si Dakila nirevive ni Linang, sya yung mulawin na iyon? paki clear lang po, thank you!

I admit i'm one of those who hopes for the "happily-ever-after" type of plot!...BUT...Southrock is right, Mulagat should not be revived (so is Paloma!). "Nagdurugo ang puso ko sa sinabi ko!"

Do you guyz know that the criteria in choosing a national hero is
1. he has to be dead
2. burning love for humanity
3. peaceful fighting
--(Rizal course)

..so if in the end Mulagat turns out to be alive, he's no longer a hero. Tatawagin na lang siyang Patriot!

I think being a hero suits him well.

Mulagat is dead. I don't think they should bring him back. Para naman tayong niloko pag binalik pa siya. I think fans are mature enough to accept the death of a beloved character when it comes. Don't get me wrong. He was one of my favorites. See my comments in the VIOLET channel. :)

Where are the screen grabs?
